Being as its Christmas, I’ll hit you with a double whammy thought of the evening.
1) I have invented a sort of game to play when in public, or at home or wherever you feel like. It’s called ‘name that smell’. To play this game, there must be a peculiar odour in your vicinity. There must be one or more players. When your nose is awakened to the odour, you exclaim ‘ looks like its time for another exciting round of name that smell!’. And then you try and guess what the smell is. It could be anything from varnished wood to fermented sprouts. The winner is the person who guesses the smell. There is no prize. Perhaps the winner should award themselves with air freshener.
2) Now for a more christmassy point! When I was little, on christmas eve, my mother and father used to read ’twas the night before christmas to me and my sister before we went to bed. We used to insist on reading the story before going to bed. We always used to find the mouse and the ladybird and stuff. awww. Here is Michael Buble’s take on that beloved children’s story!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
